DIY SOS

We were honoured to be invited to take part in a very special DIY SOS project in Maidstone, where the goal was to transform the home of former paratrooper Mo Morris and his family.

Mo served in the Army for 10 years before a parachuting accident left him unable to walk unaided. Living in a Victorian home with steep stairs was making everyday life increasingly difficult, so the DIY SOS team stepped in to adapt the property to meet his needs.

OUR contribution

Extra-wide internal doors – provided at no cost, giving Mo the freedom to move through the home using his walking sticks or a wheelchair without restriction.

Working alongside the DIY SOS team, local trades, and countless volunteers was an incredible experience. It was inspiring to see so many people come together with one shared goal — to give something back to a man who has given in service to his country.

For us, this project wasn’t just about supplying doors and fittings; it was about helping to build a future where Mo and his family can live more freely and comfortably. We are proud to have played our part in making that possible.
