Provides life-changing practical support for disabled and disadvantaged children across the UK. From specialist equipment and wheelchair grants to Sunshine Coaches and Great Days Out, their programmes help children reach their full potential. With over £1.6 billion given in grants worldwide, Variety continues to transform lives and bring hope to thousands of children and families every year.
Variety Golf
A community of golfers who combine their love of the game with raising vital funds for Variety Sunshine Coaches. For over 60 years, the group has supported disabled and disadvantaged children, with Sunshine Coaches at the heart of their work — specially adapted minibuses that give young people the chance to visit new places, learn outside the classroom, and develop essential life skills.
Variety Golf also sponsors the world’s No.1 disability golfer, Kipp Popert, and runs initiatives like the Golf for Disabled Children scheme, in partnership with The Golf Trust, making the sport accessible while inspiring healthier, happier lives. Led by President Jimmy Tarbuck and Vice-President Lady Forsyth, Variety Golf continues to open up life-changing opportunities for thousands of children every year.
Our contribution
Over the years, we have proudly supported Variety Golf and the Sunshine Coaches initiative, helping to raise funds for specially adapted buses that serve many schools. Our contribution helped fund a Sunshine Coach, which was donated to Ysgol Penmaes School in Wales, supporting their mission to help capable learners succeed.
We are also passionate about supporting children with special educational needs. One highlight is the Variety Golf Christmas Lunch at Hyde Park, where children perform on stage. This event provides a wonderful insight into the charity’s impactful work and how it benefits the children it serves.
